Founded in 2010 with a vision to revolutionize outdoor changing experiences, Dryrobe has pioneered a whole new category of clothing, firmly establishing themselves as a leader in premium-quality, versatile, and highly functional changing robes.

Dryrobe approached us to overhaul their e-commerce store — it didn’t align with their exceptional product quality or effectively communicate their unique brand story. Seeking a site to set them apart, they engaged us for a redesign and rebuild of their existing Shopify store.

The Challenge

As the pioneer of the changing robe, Dryrobe was already a well-established brand. However, their e-commerce store didn’t reflect the technical excellence of their product or tell their unique story. They partnered with us for a redesign and rebuild that would give them 'the best website in the world.' Here’s how we achieved just that.

The Solution

We incorporated additional storytelling sections alongside products throughout Dryrobe’s store to tell their brand story characterized by their B Corp status, partnerships, and charitable donations. Leveraging Shopify's Sections Everywhere feature, we ensured these sections could be seamlessly reused by Dryrobe on any page, while still making sense to the store’s design, flow and user journey.

One of Dryrobe’s biggest challenges was repeat returns due to sizing issues. Customers use their products in two ways – either as a coat or as a post-swim changing robe – which require a different fit. We build a completely custom size finder that allows customers to toggle between their use case and find their perfect size using size charts, images and a video fit guide. 

For international customers, Dryrobe had three separate Shopify stores: UK & ROW, US/CA and EU. To enable easier management for their teams we consolidated their international stores to just two: UK/EU/ROW and US using Global-e. Now, customers are automatically directed to their home store and the Dryrobe team only need to manage two international storefronts.

The Results

We designed Dryrobe a stunning new store with a premium feel that reflects their quality products while fostering a deeper connection between customers and the Dryrobe story. 

For the Dryrobe team, the rebuild of their store allows greater flexibility and control over the layout. Plus, with reduced international storefronts, internationalization is easier to manage while still giving global customers an exceptional experience.
