World-famous toy retailer, Hasbro, delivers unique brand experiences to their global audience for a portfolio of brands, including NERF, Star Wars, Marvel, Transformers, and more. Built “by fans, for fans,” Hasbro Pulse is the ultimate fan destination for merchandise, product drops, and community content.

Hasbro approached us to re-launch Hasbro Pulse, including, for the first time, direct-to-consumer commerce - all powered by Shopify Plus. Since then, we’ve been Hasbro Pulse’s e-commerce agency throughout their entire Shopify journey, from launching their industry-leading crowdfunding app to their recent European expansion.

The Challenge

Hasbro needed a storefront to supercharge their fan-focused brand, Pulse. The existing platform was outdated and fragmented, causing a poor-performing, disconnected customer experience. And to make matters worse, the Pulse team had barely any control over the store's back end. The solution? A migration to Shopify Plus.

The Solution

For their e-commerce relaunch, we took Hasbro's D2C store to new heights with a custom Shopify theme and optimized web, mobile, and tablet experiences. For design, the Pulse team had a vision to showcase their range of products through different media types, including written content, eye-catching visuals, captivating videos, and stunning 3D renders - we made it a reality. With custom-designed templates for each type of media and a bespoke content area on their storefront, Hasbro Pulse has complete control over their content.

The Results

Hasbro Pulse has a new, state-of-the-art home on Shopify Plus. Built to scale and fully integrated into their ERP stack, the site can handle even the largest Comic-Con-fueled product drops. And, behind the scenes, the Pulse team finally has the tools they need to make lightning-fast decisions on content and merchandising.

We took things to the next level by introducing HasLab, Hasbro’s revolutionary crowd-funding app. Fans now have the chance to bring the production of special-edition toys from their favorite brands to life, backing their production with the custom pre-order payment system built by us. And, following the success of their U.S. store, we have now expanded Hasbro Pulse into Europe with the launch of their UK and EU stores – powered by Shopify Markets.
